Cremat’s pulse detection electronics can be used with a wide range of detector types, including PIN photodiodes, avalanche photodiodes, PMTs, SiPMs, surface barrier/PIPS detectors, CT/CZT semiconductor radiation detectors or gas based detectors (MWPC, proportional tubes, 3He, BF3 etc.).

These modules include a shaping stage following the CSP stage to reshape the CSP output pulse from a ‘tail pulse’ into a Gaussian pulse and to filter much of the noise from the amplified signal. Shaping amplifiers can also be used to provide extra gain to the signal.


The core Cremat products are charge sensitive preamplifier modules, which are small 8-pin single in-line (SIP) packages, epoxy-coated single channel circuits. Four variants are available.


 How to choose a CSP?


The CR-210 module is a baseline restorer (BLR) circuit which corrects for the natural baseline depression at the shaping amplifier output which occurs during high count rates. The use of the CR-210 will allow for higher resolution spectroscopic measurements. The module should be used at the output stage of one of the CR-200 Series modules.
