Silver Gallium Selenite (AgGaSe₂ or AGSE) Crystals
Silver Gallium Selenite (AgGaSe₂ or AGSE), along with AgGaS₂, are useful NLO crystals, with large nonlinear (NLO) coefficients, which can operate in the infra-red (IR) part of the spectrum. AgGaSe2 has been proven in a broad range of NLO applications.

AGSE strengths/features include:
  • Transparency range - 0.7 to 18μm
  • Large NLO coefficient of 33pm/V @10.6μm
  • Proven performance in SFM/DFM interactions in the near and mid IR
  • Wide spectral and angular acceptances

AGSE applications include:
  • High efficiency SHG using CO₂ 10.6μm) and CO(5-6μm) lasers
  • OPO pumped by Ho:YLF(2.05μm) with a tunable output of 2.5 - 12μm
  • OPO pumped by Nd:YAG(1.06μm)
  • DFM pumped by Diode, IR Dye, Nd:YAG and Ti:Sapphire with outputs over range 3 - 12μm
