Silver Gallium Sulfide (AgGaS₂ or AGS)
Silver Gallium Sulfide (AgGaS₂ or AGS), is transparent over the range 0.53 to 12µm and has proven to be an effective as a material to frequency doubling in the the infrared.

AgGaS₂ / AGS strengths include:
  • High non-linear coefficient
  • High damage threshold
  • Wide transmission range
  • Low optical absorption
  • Low wavefront distortion

AgGaS₂ / AGS applications include:
  • SHG using CO and CO₂ Lasers
  • Frequency mixing in the IR using Laser Diode, Ti:Sapphire, Nd:YAG and Dye Laser sources
  • OPO using Nd:YAG pump
