Advatech CeBr3 Scintillation Crystals
Cerium Bromide (CeBr3) scintillator crystals are now available on a commercial basis and have proven to be very capable detectors in X-ray and gamma-ray spectroscopy applications. CeBr3 crystals are hygroscopic but can be supplied both with and without encapsulation.
Cerium Bromide - CeBr3- scintillator crystals have a:
  • Short decay time - 19ns
  • High light yield - 60,000 Photons/MeV
  • Excellent energy resolution - 3.8keV @ 662 keV
  • Inherent low background radiation - 0.004 Bq/cm³
